A pixel-art model village of Wokingham town centre, about 2 km × 2 km around the Market Place. It's a just-for-fun hobby project.

How it's made

Building outlines, roads, parks, the railway and the Emm Brook come from OpenStreetMap. Each footprint is raised into a block. Only a few buildings have their number of floors recorded, so most heights are estimates by building type (houses ~2 storeys, flats and shops 3–4). Most trees are placed decoratively, not surveyed. Treat it as a charming approximation, not a survey.

Rendered live in your browser with three.js, then drawn at low resolution with a limited palette and outlines for the pixel-art look.
